My first attempt with silver leaf! I added lots, rubbed it down, and encased with clear.
Although I like the end result, I really wanted more silver, and it to be more silver than gold!!!
Any tips?

It's down to the make of clear you are using to encase. What brand are you using?

I do know that if you encase with palest palest aqua blue, (hardly blue at all) it stays silver, or it does for me anyway.
its because of the base colour. i assume you used EDP or similar? anything with a pink hint has been made with gold and fumes silver foil gold. same happens with silver wire. x
I was going to say use pale aqua instead - it does work!
Excellent. I'll look out for some pale aqua then. I used bog standard cheapie clear from tuffnels, and my base glass was CIM Evil Queen!
Most pinks and purples react with silver. CIM's Thai orchid is one that doesn't, not tried evil queen.
To get more silver, be careful not to get it in the flame till it's encased, and don't overheat the encasing as you melt it, or you'll melt the silver in too much.

It'll most likely stay silver with Effetre clear - though you're tempting fate using a pinky base. Avoid Lauscha clear or CIM clear with anything silver as they will turn it yellow. Nice looking beads though - they've turned out nicer than my pink/silver /clear efforts ever do!
