Title: Caution - ASK 104 and silvered stringer
Post by: Diane on April 05, 2007, 10:18:19 AM
Hi
Thought I'd better pass this on - there's a topic on Wet Canvas where several people seem to be experiencing cracking problems with Ask104 and ivory silvered stringer - I haven't experienced any problems with ASK colours but I  haven't used it with anything other than itself and a little with Effetre.
but I suppose it's better to be aware of any potential problem

Thanks Diana. I've not had  probs with that but  Ask definitely doesn't like being encased with Lauscha. Anyone tried encasing it with effetre?

I've used SIS with it no problems - but I've heard about the encasing problems though.

Apparently the only way to encase ask is to first mix the ask with clear  about 50-50 then use that for the bead then encase... means you have the same colours but it doesnt crack.  I was reading that even with the clear from the same company it misbehaves
