I was looking at NortelGlass.com's list of Effetre colours (http://www.nortelglass.com/_glassM.php) and saw some that I'd never heard of or seen before. So I did some looking around and found this blog entry from Frantz Art Glass (http://frantznewsletter.com/Blog/?p=226) that lists these as new colours that Mike Frantz got:
Spanish Leather – 591423
Pistachio – 591415
Butternut – 591414
Sea Green – 591209
Dark Matter – 591441
Mudslide – 591703
Sediment – 591287
Sandstone – 591285
Alexandrite – 591226
Light Marmorin – 591281
Marmorin – 591280
Streaky Seaweed – 591701
Rosewood – 591702
I know the 700s are odd lots, but did the others ever make their way over here? Or do they go to Mike Frantz exclusively? I tried searching on some of the more unusual names, but didn't find any discussion of them. I've just started reading through Dragonjools on blogspot's testing of them. Curiosity!
I wouldn't be after any of them in the near future but I kinda liked the organic look of some.
I get my glass from Mike Frantz and have a lot of the more obscure colours, I like his prices, he ships fast and has good sales. Still works out cheaper even with the the shipping and customs.
Has no one used them yet, then? The marmorins reducing to copper sounded intriguing.
Just thought I'd go look and my fingers slipped - also got some more tangerine sparkle ;)
The Alexandrite is gorgeous - a sort of opally pale lilac colour. Me likes :-)
