Title: Error 5 on my Maxi controller
Post by: Lush! on December 22, 2009, 06:26:51 PM
Oh no  :(

I've just tried my kiln 3 times, and each time its overheated to about 580 degrees and given me Err 5 with an alarm.

Any ideas anybody?

Didn't somebody else get this code recently? Can't remember who or what the outcome was but there's a thread somewhere I think.

Hope you get it sorted, Julie. Have you got some vermiculite or a fibre blanket in reserve?

Julie - this is exactly the same problem I had and I think you got your Maxi the same time as I did. Email Lee or Brian ASAP - they know what the problem is and hopefully will sort it for you ASAP. In the meantime a quick trip to B&Q for some vermiculite may be in order ::)
