Title: Nyx
Post by: Les on May 04, 2009, 09:45:26 AM
Thanks to the wonderful Sarah  :-* :-* :-* I have a bundle of Nyx to play with.

I usually murder silver glass, so was just wondering if any of you guys had any pics / tips of how to work this colour and what could be achieved ???

It's so pricey .... I'd hate to waste it with failed experiments :-/

Thanks

I'm pretty sure Nyx is a very nice, fairly bomb-proof glass that goes lovely shiny metallic colours in a reducing flame. I'd say, be careful not to burn it or it'll go yukky but apart from that it should be fine :) It reduces easily and is great as a stringer. Enjoy it!

It's supposed to go paler in the kiln, to mid blue after a few hours, but I've never done that. I just use it for shiny metallic effects! It's a nice one. It's great reduced and encased, lovely MOP effects.
