Just a quick question. Does anyone know how much goldstone Martin sells for £5? It just says you get a few pieces...but it'd be good to have a rough idea of weight.
I've got plenty at the moment, I was just wondering and didn't want to hassle Martin as he's got enough going on.
Cheers folks
SAM x
I cant help you im afraid but I bought a load of goldstone chips from ebay and its more than enough and really cheap. I have had no problems with it :)

what's goldstone?!
Goldstone (http://www.tuffnellglass.com/index.html?lmd=39026.775370), or you can have Wiki's definition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldstone_%28gemstone%29)
can you just buy standard chips & melt them?
have had some success with dichroic and wouldn't mind giving goldstone a try. think I have some chips.

what's goldstone?!
It's a glass compound Steph.. super saturated with copper particles..
It does burn very easily though.. so if used as stringer it's best encased thinly with clear glass... and worked very carefully.... but used neat it does interesting stuff with silver leaf and foil though... :)
might have to add that to my 'to try' list :) thanks les
Thank you beadysam... it arrived yesterday... I just couldnt remember where this thread was and when I searched for it the computer lied and said it didnt exist
