Hi ,
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but Teresawas making some tuxedo CiM beads last night with Effetre white stringer work and it splits like silver ivory , very nice .
Martin
I was going to try some this afternoon - I will take note! :D
Pic please!
I haven't tried mine yet - but here are some comments from Torch Bugs:
CiM Hades is also a true black and also webs, but requires more heat to do so than IB, so it can be easier to work with.
Hades crawls like intense black. Tuxedo is a true black glass, intense like IB without the crawling problem. It's great for making murrini with because it doesn't show purple when stretched thin. It also won't bleed purple into white. It's a great black!! It's not made from purple like the italian glass is. The Hades is supposedly a green based black. Tuxedo is all black.
Kathy told me that tuxedo had been developed to add a more competitively priced black to the CiM range. Turns out it might just be the black I have been looking for all this time ;D
Would love to see pics of Teresa's beads

So would I - the words "effetre white stringer work" alone filled me with envy!
Ha - spent 2 hours making beads this afternoon and forgot all about tuxedo!
Roll on Thursday and I might remember!
Here's a picture of Teresa's beads. Light is a bit bright but you can see the effect
