I don't know much about silver glass.......is there one out there that is CoE 104 and reduces or strikes to shades of shimmering purple?
ta, Jo x
Hi Jo, Double Helix Psyche can be reduced to produce some lovely purple hues, as well as peacock blues/greens. I'll see if I can find photo of one of my beads so you can see...
Thanks Charlotte ;D
Also, TAG Dalai Lama can be struck to purpley blues. I have just bought a stick but haven't tried it yet so here's a link! http://www.taglass.com/104.html
Found a picture of some of my Kristina Logan inspired beads - the smalled bead has psyche plunged dots.

Oh! What amazing, beautiful, gorgeous beads!
Aww - thanks - that's cheered me up this Monday morning! ;D
Lovely lovely lovely thanks Charlotte
Will you let me know how you go with the TAG please?
Jo x
Thank you! I will...I'll be playing again at the weekend.

Yes...and terra!
Gorgous beads too, by the way; you've got a great range of colours there Trudi!
thank you - but they don't always turn out like that!! ;D
I know it sounds odd, but emerald green Gaia is lovely too! Put on black the transparent green disappears, and you only get the iridescence.
I get pinks from Triton too, like the heart.

Thats a great tip about the Gaia, Mary, I can't get it to do anything I like some might give this a try!
I am glad I asked the question now, this thread is full of such eye candy. Thanks Charlotte, Trudi and Mary ;D
So am I, Jolene, thanks !! Lovely beads ;D
So am I - that tip about Gaia was great!

Must it be silver glass? How about faux boro over rubino?

I'm such a cheapskate :D
Oooh how did you do that? It looks great!

That is a gorgeous effect Heather, it must be purple though ;D I am wanting to make some silver glass murrini for a "Pimped Out Purple" mojo box
It was just either straw yellow or transparent brown (I forget which but either will do the job), dipped in iris gold frit, pulled into stringer, laid over rubino and encased. I made some more at the weekend but haven't taken a pic.

Oooh don't you start tempting us again missus - I had decided that I would not buy any more glass as I have too much, but mojo boxes, now that's a different prospect.......

I have a few different themes on the go at the minute, just making fun bits of this and that for them when the mood takes me. I am hoping to have some ready in a couple of weeks ;D

Ohh just divine - I've never tried it over rubino - thought it may have given a funny reaction, but they are scrummylicious!!
Could you do Nyx or Triton on a dark purple background? Or TAG deep velvet? I think a lot of the reducing colours have a blue/green tendency when reduced, but deep velvet is a deeper blue, nice and velvety.
