Ok silly question from a not so new newbie but, Please someone tell me, what do you do with shards. I have some that someone sent me a while ago and I havn't used them yet as I'm not sure what to do with them.

I'm no expert I think I have played with 4 or 5 beads with shards in all...

Basically I make a base bead, hold the shard with a pair of twesers (sp?) and then waft it in the top of the flame to get it warm, then I kind of just touch it to the bead so it sticks, (a bit like silver wire) and then I let it fall where it wants to, I like the way it gives a material effect.

first time i used them i just blasted them with heat they shrink loads!!! ;) Now i do what Stacy just said and they keep their size more!!

With the last 2 I melted silver leaf over the top to get the antique-y effect.

Wow they are all really super beads, I'm def going to try shards now.
