Title: Anybody using a BeadCube?
Post by: beadmonkey on January 14, 2009, 10:00:30 PM
I'm considering getting a BeadCube and was wondering who was using one and what they thought of it. Any comments welcome please.

I think Di East trialled one and gave it her seal of approval ??

I bought one.

Haven't yet put any beads in it but I have tested it. I liked how it heats up fast and keeps its temperature steady.  The programer/controller looks easy to use too.

I think its perfect for what I want it for, 10-15 beads a day I reckon I might be doing.

I have one and I love it. It's perfect for me because I work in a shed at the bottom of the garden, so I run a power cable out the back door down to the shed. I can plug the cube in while I am working, it heats up really quickly and is preprogrammed so you just press a button. Then when I am finished I can carry it ( and the cable), with oven clothes because it gets warm, back into the house and leave it there to cool down.

It is light and small so I can move it around, put it away and get it back out.
However it is very much a bead cube as it is quite small, great for a days work at my pace but if you do more... you might find it small!

Hmmm, it doesn't seem that the BeadCube is a very popular kiln if only 2 people who have one have replied.

Does that mean not many have been sold?

It would be really nice to have comments (whether good or bad) Please!!

Les - I've heard Diane East has trialled one but I have not seen any comments directly from her; only those reported via KilnCare.

If it's any help Roy, I really, really want one! It would be the perfect size for my tiny workspace.
