Hi all

Are there any tips or knacks to removing clamped on Lemon clips from torch/hose assemblies? I need to redo my oxy line and don't want to resort to brute force if there is a clever way.

hollergrafik

I had to use 2 pairs of pliers and brute force on mine.

Ah feared as much. My poorly elbows still aren't much cop in the brute force dept, so will have to wait and get Mr Man to do it at the weekend.

Thanks for the reply though. At least I now know it's possible!

Yup as above Emma, I think once they're on they're on. I usually slice my hoses clean off just under the clips and then wander across to the welding supply shop looking pathetic. Funnily enough the professionals usually attack them with a couple of pliers too, so it seems to be the accepted way. Anyway - while I'm at the welders I ask them to replace the hoses so I have the confidence of knowing that they've been done better than if I tried to do them.

Yep - pure Emma-Rage did the job just lovely,

It's amazing what late-30's hormones, pliers and a flat-head screwdriver can accomplish.
