Title: What is Uroboros?
Post by: Bluebell on August 29, 2011, 11:30:48 AM
Hi

I was trawling through the internet and I came across Uroboros 90COE Dichroic.  I've not heard of "Uroboros" before. I currently use Bullseye 90COE in all my projects.  Do you think I'd be able to fuse my Bullseye clear and black 90COE with this, without any problems?

I know you cannot mix your COE's, but brands/type?  Or is it the same thing?

Just not heard of that name so I want to be sure before I start working with it.

Thanks folks!

Hi Bluebell! I have fused with the Uroboros with Bullseye glass, no problem as long as it is the same COE  ;). I actually love the Uroboros they also make frits!

It's just another brand of glass

It should be okay with Bullseye, although matching COE's does not absolutely guarantee compatibility - see what Bullseye say about it here:

and the technical more detailed explanation:

That said, I've used Uroboros noodles (flat stringer like taglietelli!) with Bullseye and had no problems.
