Gosh, haven't used this in ages ... good call!
does this include the unique variant also?
Yes, why not!
That's a pretty colour, but I haven't got any, looks like another order coming up!

Not great beads, but hopefully the gorgeous colour makes up for it!!
They're lovely!
I love this colour!!!!! Thanks Kaz
Great! This is one colour I have actually got in my glass collection!
Clairex
I haven't got it, but was about to put an order in ::) ;D It is a fantastic colour, hadn't realised until I saw Helen's necklace! :)
I don't like this colour any more.
I have just almost killed myself with a spitting showering rod of Celadon that has almost put me off lampworking for life >:(
Therefore my large Celadon heart now in the kiln was finished using Reichenbach Antique Green and Issy Anderson frit.
A slight exaggeration maybe, but I can't help being a jumper :(
Strangely enough, the Celadon was very striated in the heart, and it isn't usually
Linda x
I think I have a couple of rods of this...good choice!
ooooooo! I am sure I have a rod or two of celadon ;)
No rods but I do have some frit, does that count? These are made with celadon frit (it's in there somewhere)

Just checked, I've got a 2.5" end of a rod...I'll have to be very creative :D
Helen, those are beautiful, love the silver wire :)
my stash databse says I have one rod. will have to look in the shed to see if I still have it
Just got a celadon "Easter Egg" out of the kiln - will take a pic when its been cleaned.
I found some! So will update when/if they come out of the kiln in a presentable fashion. And to think I was thinking of ordering some ..... ::)

Thank god I've not been the only one with this problem. I have something in the kiln at the mo too. It's either going to be fabulous or highly questionable.
I assumed it was just me; darn stuff was flying all over the place. Lovely colour though (or was when it went in the kiln).
Um, mine wasn't spitty? Mind you, I've taken to putting mine on top of the kiln, the glass is so ruddy cold that even the most well behaved glass is being antse :o
(... it's a bit reluctant about coming of the rod...)
I thought the blue in these buttons was celadon, but it's not, the green is. So I've no idea which blue it is, any clues?

is it halogan bay? Looks more transparent in the rod and goes more opaque the more time it spends in the flame
It looks more like chalcedony, it has that opalescent kind of look.
Oh that's right, It's being 50 miles away from my glass stash it's affecting me BADLY!! ::)
Mmmm Halong Bay, I miss it.
Lovely beads Helen.
That's it, chalcedony, sort of sounds like celadon, starts with the same letter at least ::) Thanks.
phew back within stretching distance of my stash now. I do like chalcedony its like looking into a summer sky with little fluffy clouds that are almost not there.
this is a combination of rods melted together and then pulled out into a new rod to make this bead
(http://i713.photobucket.com/albums/ww140/_Krysia_/015.jpg)
This latest batch is completely unworkable. My worktop is covered in celadon frit from 2 whole rods.... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
Not just me then :( I managed to get a set made, but not without much cussing and ducking and picking up green frit on the end of a clear rod ...

my 'made' rod was incredibly sputty too.
I got some in my March Tuffnells gift to myself last week and it isn't too bad on the shocky front. I have a couple to show, once I get round to photos. I really love the colour of this, but need to learn how to use it slight streakyness a bit better, or rather to my advantage! Lovely beads by the way everyone. :) :)
I have an "old" rod of Celadon which was fine - but then I added some Atlantis dots, and THAT was frit on a stick!
Yesterday, I took a set of beads out of the kiln having used some of your murrini, Kaz.
It's the very bestest results I have ever had with any murrini, ever and I'm delighted with them ;D
I bought them via Julie at the Julie and George weekend way back and only just used some, and I reordered from you yesterday :)
My big problem now is.......I need to make some spacers...with Cpitty Celadon :o :( :'(

These are gorgeous. I'm glad I don't have any if it's Frit on a stick!
Lovely beads everyone! I have 2 rods and have bought or swopped it from somewhere so no idea how old a batch! Tis a little shocky but my back rooms gets so cold the glass often spits a bit, my reflexes are getting really good! ::)
OOh lovely Sue. :)
Here are my attempts!
A lentil, that I wanted to keep simple but is very streaky.
A stripey one
(http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/ww22/northdevondumpling/Frit%20happens/IMG_1476fh.jpg)
A set which will become a macrame bracelet, when I have a mo.
Found my one rod ;D ;D ;D And it was warm enough to bead today.
Pictures to follow.
I forgot what a lovely bright colour this is - I love your lentil Lotti ;D
Some good news re Cpitty Celadon....the rod I just used was wonderfully non cpitty ;D
Never had to duck once and finished all my spacers
Linda x
i made these with the cim celedon i just got from tuffys for this challenge and no spitting or cracking for me. it was a nice smooth rod to use
(http://i402.photobucket.com/albums/pp103/littlewib/005-6.jpg)
Having unexpectedly found lots of this, some rods in the batch were fritty, but others seemed to behave ok.

Oh, Tish I like the celedon and yellow ones specially. :). Sue! What can I say, these are soooo lovely, like them with the sis. :)
yey I have a rod too so am going to attempt to make something :)
Thanks for choosing this lovely colour, I had some stashed away that I had to blow the dust off. I'd forgotten just how nice it is.

The centre of the disc is celadon and the two BHB have it as a base. The other BHB I did for the challenge, with a little end of a half decent twistie, I'm still pants at pulling twistie, but I was really pleased with the join on this bead, especially as the twistie had clear in it! Will pop the picture in the other thread as well.
Some lovely beads on here by the way. x
ty lotti im hooked on frit
I love Celedon - much nicer to use than Effetre Turq. I've been messing with some enamels:

I'm being a simple soul today; isn't it a amazing how one colour and we all produce something so different? I rarely have the right colour for challenges so am enjoying this one no end.
a couple more from me this time mixing it up with the efferette cool yellow colour
(http://i402.photobucket.com/albums/pp103/littlewib/018-5.jpg)
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a337/Spuggy/007-5.jpg) hmm not sure if this is going to work, but this is my use of celadon in a little alien flowers bead. Had to call them that cos they look nothing like real flowers hehe.
Finially got a round to take a picture of my beads
(http://www.jewellerybyjenny.co.uk/pictures/March-Cotm.JPG)
Having just put these in the gallery I realized I can put them here too. Eff. grasshopper green and CIM caledon pebbles.

Ahhh, so that's what that colour is. Beautiful Julia. :)
Celadon beads. What I learned here is it and cirrus do not get on. The dotty bead on the left also has some cirrus, and that's got little cracks along the dot edges too.
(http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7275/6861029942_f6cf155fc7_n.jpg) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalorlo/6861029942/) (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7056/6841983890_e1f83235bf_n.jpg) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalorlo/6841983890/)
This is the set I made with the rod of non spitty Celedon.
I used some of Kaz's murrini on them:

Those are gorgeous Linda, the colours go so well together.
Linda, that is a massively impressive set - I love your colour choices ;D
Hi everyone
there's some gorgeous beads on here this month! Loving the green pebbles Pandanimal and also the stripy focal Lotti. Celadon is a gorgeous colour, especially etched and fortunately mine has been behaving itself!!
I've only just started doing buttons - here are some with Celadon and ivory dots...

And here are some floral beads - the dots for the centre of the flowers and all the other dots are Celadon.

Not neccesary, Madeline.
It's clear that these are beauties.
Smashing stringer work and lovely crisp shapes from the press
Love 'em

That's lovely Cecilia, it goes great with hot pink!
Madeline, that is a really lovely set!
Thanks Linda and Steph
personally I think this colour goes with anything, but I really love it with the orange in your set Linda. (well I would wouldn't I?)
Lol, Madeline!
I've fallen in love with Bright Acid Yellow too ;D

Thanks Linda and Steph - It has been great to rediscover Celadon, I love your set Linda with the orange and I am sitting herew thinking I must try it now with acid yellow - I love that too. I am hooked on flowers at the moment ( it happens every spring) so I am thinking little primroses type thing... I also just got some Dreasickle yesterday which looks a lovely stripey orange :)
