does anyone know the firing schedual for fusing with 96 coe frit?
Angie....a little more info is needed. Are you wanting a full fuse or tack fuse (leaving some texture to the frit)?
Jim
ermm full fuse, i think lol
ive also got some Effetre Dichroic to try aswell
Its nice just tack fused too. lots of texture ;D
Stupid question - is tack fusing just enough to make it stick and full fusing when it's melted flat? Sorry, I know nothing about fusing at all :D
exactly right and not stupid at all, asking questions is how we learn ;D
Tanok i want to try EVERYTHING at once LOL im impatient!
but as this is my first attempt i thought id try a full fuse just to see ;D
im trying to get my head around kiln temperatures too :-\
Good guess then! Cheers, Tan :)
Shirley i know nothing about fusing either, so its not a stupid question ;)
hey even fusers knew nothing about fusing once ...right ;)
Very True!!! ;D
Since looking at Steph's site and buying one of her pendants I want to have a go now.
have a play, I am still learning but if I can help just pm me or put the question out here!! ;)
Angie..if you want a full fuse with the frit....then fire at the same temp that you use for fusing other work. If you want a tack fuse...back off the top temperature by about 50C
I full fuse Bullseye around 800C and tack fuse around 750C
Temps need to be adjusted for your own kiln.
Bluemoon thanks for that ;)
we love Jim ;D
