Can anyone tell me if the bead door when closed is completely sealed or is there a gap left round the edges. Thinking of buying a door for my paragon SC2 but I want to use it still for enamelling. I know there will be a gap when putting mandrels in to garage the bead.
You will probably find that it's not as sealed as a proper closed door. When I want to fuse in mne I have a piece of fibre blanket cut to fit inside the slot to help keep the heat in. Seems to work for that purpose. Hope that helps!
Thank you for information I will do that when enamelling.
I have an SC3 with a bead door that I use for annealing and enamelling. I just leave the bead door shut and keep an eye on the controller temp when I enamel.. You lose far more heat opening the main door than the tiny amount through the closed bead door :)
my paragon has a clip to keep the door shut. Never had a problem with fusing in it.
