Just wondered if there is going to be a June Colour and Theme of the Month ???
ooh yes, do love those, even if it usually results in an order from tuffers for something or other...
is it back to Kaz or is it Les still? perhaps Les is still a little ermm...distracted? I say let her!

Too right!
Perhaps we should have a "just for fun" one this month (as it's nearly half way through already :o)
I'm up for that! Any suggestions?
I've been thinking about grey as a colour recently. Not one I find easy to use - how about a grey shade of some sort? Pearl grey? Dark grey?
What about theme: by the sea
And colour: appletini (cim)
Ooh, I like the By the Sea theme, and to be fair any grey is a bit of a challenge IMHO ;D
What about grey and appletini sea-theme? ;D
Kinda rules out anyone who doesn't have appletini though.....
I like the idea of grey - the colour thread is often one that I rarely use, and it inspires me to do so. I love Appletini and use it loads, but can't say the same about grey. By the sea, mmmm, love that.

I love grey and I'm up for that too!
all for something just for fun. by the sea sounds fun, i think no matter what colour gets picked I need to do a tuffers order....
I don't have appletini....I have quite a few greys though, love the sea theme idea!
We seem to like "By the Sea" so shall we go with that?
And how about any grey and/or appletini as the colour challenge?
Sound like a fair plan?
;D
What about having 'Just Grey' any grey, opaque or trans, any make, just as long as its grey... and By The Sea sounds good to me
I like it! though you could also throw in pale emerald as an alternative to the appletini
OK, By the Sea as the theme of the month.
ANY grey and / or appletini (pale emerald accepted as a substitute) as the colour(s) of the month?
By the Sea and Grey sounds fab to me :) off to the harbour today, must get some inspiration! x
Ooh I'm planning torch time today and have grey so will have a play. Love the by the sea theme
Yay, happy with this too!
OOh, I have got pale emerald and grey, just done a grey cab with frit, which looks quite nice (well it did as I put it into the kiln!). We are off to the seaside too (in the pouring rain) so I could use grey with a seaside bead from today!!!!! :)
Any old grey is good for me :) not sure I can do seaside stuff yet :-\
grey it is :)
need a think about the theme though.
So the theme is By The Sea - ;D ;D
Got one in the kiln sea themed...here's hoping as it's a biggie! :)

Oooohhh I can't wait to see it ;D ;D
Well, I've done my grey bead ... my by the sea bead is awful though >:( Not my favourite theme, I can't put eyes on it!
well I tried to use grey, but it didn't happen.
however, I made a blue lentil that desperately wanted to be a fish, so its a fish!
Here is said grey bead - obviously if it's grey, it has to be an alien!

With three eyes. Obviously ;D And it's effetre light grey. Oh, and it has four buttocks to bounce around on, who needs legs?
:D :D :D ;D
;D ;D ;D
;D cool murrini ears, were you having a buttocks thing going on....very nice ones on the other thread! ::) :D
tis one cool alien!
I think that has to be an alien pin-up, with that pouty mouth! ;D
Miraculously, I've done mine - a sea-themed one, and a grey one (I usually wait til the last minute or miss the deadline ::)) Photos later.
(Turtle: you could do a turtle - or just something sea-coloured and swirly :))
that's fab Sue, love his murrini eyes.
LOVE the alien Sue! xx

Gorgeous Sue
Ok, so I had a go :)
I don't have mashers, presses, murrini or appletini lol but here's my attempt!
I used teal instead of appletini, the bottom is ivory as I was being a bit literal with the sand etc and the grey bits are the little poked 'barnacles'. I especially like how the ivory made a bit of a yellow line just before the teal in the first pic - complete fluke heh heh.

I love everything so far, but especially sheilas last one!
I played with grey :D
This is in the gallery, so apologies for posting twice. Tamarind unique 2(grey..), wrapped in silver foil (shiney grey!) melted in then Sis (marbled grey!!) added. The whole bead was then reduced and encase. I like the effect ;D

Your sea bead is so interesting and that's definitely missing on mine, it's too simple. I'll keep practising those I think. I love the green and grey, that's really effective.
I love grey. I think its the colour I use most of.
I love all the fantastic beads in here. Especially the sea beads with little fishies and the jelly fish are awesome.
And Veebees organic grey bead. I might have some unique tamarind someplace........ might give it a go if I may?
Here are some of my pebbles, which are grey. Do they also count as by the sea too?

I could probably find a host of other pebble photos too but I don't want to bore the pants off you all!
(did I mention I love grey?)
These are mostly Effetra greys with twists of white stringer. Some have reactive frit or green aventurine frit on them.
Ooh, I love your pebbles!
