Title: encasing a pressed bead?
Post by: bubblefizz on March 10, 2009, 12:50:48 PM
can you tell me how you encase a pressed bead, do u make the core the width of the press, or do you make a barrel shape  ???
what way do u do it? its doing my head in, i end up with the core all mushed up, its awful
so im thinking there has to be a technique for this!

I have pressed the bead in a smaller sized press first, encased then press in a bigger one, HTH's

It sounds like you are heating your core too much - try just keeping it warm at the back of the flame whilst you encase.
I tend to press my beads after they have been encased.
I hope this helps!
