Hi,
Someone has just given me some glass they found in their new house. It's all wrapped up in its original wrapping labelled 'Table top glass' from MFI.  Anyone any idea if I could use this for fusing?

I'd have thought it will have been toughened. I don't think that you can cut it.

I would expect it to be toughened (or laminated) too.  Not sure what the exact rules are for furniture (there will be variables according to size, placement, etc) but I'd be surprised if it's ordinary, standard glass.

Yes, I agree it's likely to be toughened or laminated.
But! Before you decide it has no artistic possibilities, read this article:

Oh, nobody said it couldn't be used, just probably can't be cut ;) ;) ;)  (I have several sheets of toughened glass just waiting for either a larger kiln or a day when I can have a smashing time..... and I also have a bowl full of bits from when some kind drunken fellow put his fist through my side window when my car was parked up overnight - waste not, want not!

Wow Moira! That was very interesting and helpful.  I'm not that brave to try all that out so I think I'll find another use for it.
