such pretty beads from everyone, must be the influence of the colour!

Here's my effort, based heavily on the 'Graceful Eastern' project in Joan Gordon's Creative Lampwork, but less intricate - partly because I thought I'd better stop while it still looked okay  Smiley

light violet over white, with some dark violet in the layered dots, and light green raised dots - which have gone quite yellow.

That bead is simply (well, not at all simple really!) wonderful, Katherine.
It puts my pathetic effort to shame.

To bead, or not to bead? ..... stupid question!

« Reply #25 on: July 31, 2012, 09:50:47 AM »

Here is my pathetic attempt, but it's the first time I've posted anything for this (just worked out how to post photos - thank you for posting advice in FH).

The top one is Light Violet over white with DH dots, and the bottom one is LV over clear over LV with swirled SIS.

That's a great colour in the first one, Nick.
Has any one other than me found it hard to get the colour of the rod to show when it's melted?
Thanks for the moral support, Linda!

Thank you Beth, I think yours is lovely, as are all on here.  I did find it difficult to get the colour to show, hence over white and over clear over itself, which didn't really work.

Ah, Beth, thanks for adding your name.

I love your top bead Nick, it looks lovely over the white and the touch of silver glass is fab.
