I've just had a thought but it might be a bit silly.

I have some lovely texture sheets for PMC and I would love to make some BHB caps with it. I have a Swanstrom to cut out the bead caps so what I am thinking is could I roll out the PMC, texture, fire and then cut out the shapes with the Swanstrom. Is there any reason why this would go pear shaped  Huh Huh Huh

Whadda you think?

Cut it out and then fire it. That way you can rehydrate the off cuts  Smiley

I'm pretty sure Diane made some this way a few years ago.

Thanks everyone, it's the shrinkage that is worrying me, the whole BHB think is so size senstive.

I might have to test both ways and see how it goes....... oooh exciting Wink

Fire at 800 C for 1 to 2 hours and you should be fine cutting the piece with your disc cutter.
By firing at such a high temp. The PMC gets much stronger then when you use the temp and time suggested by PMC or ACS.
