My gasarc one stopped working but never popped apart. I got into a huge strop and bought a cheap one from ebay. Touch wood it didn't give me any problems.

The gasarc ones look over complicated to me. That might be just me?

Must of made you jump a mile.  I kept my quick release on the outside side, of the doors in the dinning room.  I think I will keep that in mind when I set again, just incase.

I think I will definitely test mine in the future, and would definitely recommend that anybody else does the same when setting up.  If my son hadn't been there to pin down the hose, it could easily have ended up pumping propane towards the lit torch  Shocked

unless you really need one sounds like more trouble than they are worth especially if they dont actually stop the gas from whooshing into the shed !

Yep - it wasn't a simple hissing of gas escaping, this was a pipe under pressure lashing around the room guffing propane all over the place.  Sheer luck that it wasn't worse I think.

I've had that but with a flame on the end of the pipe Shocked Shocked!!! It was in my silversmithing days - learnt my lesson BIG TIME  Embarrassed Embarrassed Is gaffer tape going to do the job Su? Not sure I'd want to put faith in that  Wink

Nope, I have no faith in that whatsoever!  The lovely Jolene is going to help me with this, once I get the replacement part  Grin
