I made these from a tiny ammonite we found on Charnmouth Beach. Apologies to those who have already seen them.

While teaching last weekend I was also making the projects as demos.  Great, because I need sample photos for the website.

I didn't get to finish them all - I was being paid to teach afterall!! But, here's 2 that I did finish

I was teaching PMC Module 3 last week for the first time - yikes! Thought I'd share the pieces that I made during the class as demo pieces

This ring has a moonstone set into it and fired in place.  When I used the liver of sulphur it seeped underneath the stone and made it look grey which I love!!

This bead has a texture on it that I made using Photopolymer Plates, I then added 24K Gold Foil to it and used LOS to bring out the detail

This was a demo of how to build chain with PMC.

This piece was all about adding PMC decoration to Sterling Silver, so the rectangle back is a piece of sterling.

It was a long couple of days LOL!  I've got another piece which I haven't finished yet which was drawing with syringe.  I was sick of the sight of that piece so need to go back to it on a fresh head!!

Beautiful work, loving it.  I did a one-day PMC class, just to see what I thought with a view to making some clasps but was told that it would ot be string enough for toggle clasps.  There are lots in this thread, can someone give me a second opinion?  I enjoyed working with PMC but didn't take it further because the one thing I wanted to do I was told was not recommended.

I would say it would depend on the size of the clasp.

I would say that making toggle clasps would be ok, just so long as it has been fired correctly.

I have made small end cones for my viking weave bracelets with metal clay before now (so that I could be sure they would go through BHB's.  I have have thought about making some toggle clasps before now, as I have some lovely ones that are only plated, once I get around to getting some more two part moulding compound I was going to have a go.

Here's something new from me  Smiley

Leaf Enamel Pendant 1 by Rebecca Crabtree, on Flickr

PMC and enamel - I have quite a stash of enamels  Roll Eyes so this is the first in a series (hopefully!) so it was a bit of a test piece but I'm quite pleased with it!
