Must not set hair on fire again

Hello, just got a new camera and have been trying to get better photos (my previous ones were awful to say the least). If you could have a quick peek at these two listings which i've changed the photos on and let me know what you think i would be very grateful Smiley

thanks xxx

Hi

Not much good at photography myself but I think they look fine.

Only comment I would make is to perhaps add the dimensions of the bullseye pendant to the listing.

The fused one is ok - pretty much in focus, colours fine, nice bit of shadow.

The bracelet - personally I don't like the angle of the dangly bead - Perhaps it could be supported more upright (a little ball of blu tack perhaps).  The second photo of the bracelet, IMHO does nothing to compliment it.  Again I think it's the angle/composition.  Perhaps take a look through other listings with similar items to see how others have approached the composition.

Hope that helps a bit - I sure some others will be along pretty soon with a thought or two as well.

I'm no photographer, but my advice would be to make sure you use all 5 photos.  Good luck x

I'm by no means an expert, but I'll share my views and hope they help  Cheesy

When uploading images to Etsy I alway upload large ones, that way a person can click on them and see the real detail in the piece. I find with lampwork and gemstones larger images helps to show the buyer the quality of the materials Smiley For example, on the second image of the bracelet you can't really see the crystals very well, but a large image would help show the cut of them better. If your camera can't take large images and retain the quality then I would recommend using the macro setting to take close ups of certain aspects of the piece so the buyer still gets access to detailed shots  Smiley

I think the bracelet could be shown in a more flattering way, but I know it's hard sometimes. If it was flexible bracelet I'd suggest drapping it over something, or laying it out in a different way, but I know that isn't an option with memory wire, so maybe you could prop it up against something. Maybe loop it around a vase or something so the dangle could be shown well...dangling rather than laying flat?

I also agree with Gay that it's good to try and use all your photos. Showcase your piece from every angle you can  Grin Hope some of this helps  Cheesy
