Hello Etsyers Smiley

When you have buyers in the USA, what service do you use to post beads there?

I sent 2 items via Airsure, but I see that all the Royal Mail tracking service does is confirm that the item has left the country - after that, you get nothing at all!

Is there a better way?

Thanks
Helen

I think it tracks the other side via USPS

I just use ordinary Royal Mail airmail - £1.68 up to 100grms - sent out lots and (touch wood) nothing has gone missing.  You must fill in the customs form as usual though.

I just use regular airmail unless it's something hugely valuable or the customer has requested extra insurance/tracking. So far (touch wood) I haven't lost anything, although I always worry when I have items in transit!

Depends on the value, I've been able to claim for loss or damage without a problem provided it's under the £39 limit when posted with standard airmail (always get a proof of posting!)

If the item or order total is above that amount then I always send it international signed for up to the value of the order.  I've been able to track most things on Royal Mail & USPS sites, but sometimes they take a while to update.

I've only ever used Airsure if speed is an issue as I believe you can get the same compensation levels with International Signed For.
