The page now has 816 fans after nearly 5 months and I'm really pleased with the engagement of all of them.  By posting up our treasuries and blogposts, I believe it's actually starting to result in regular sales for us too!

I really want to get it up to 1000 before out 6 month mark, so can I ask that everyone visit the page, ensure you are a Fan/Liker and if you can suggest to as many friends as you feel would appreciate hearing about out antics too!  If you have a page yourself, make sure you suggest it to us too!

Likewise if anyone has any special offers on in their shop or giveaways, please feel free to post something on the page or message me to post if for you!  Not every single new or renewed listing please, but the more we give our fans/likers, the more they will come back and share with their friends!

Hi Jean,

We can tag you, what am I tagging?  Is it in a treasury?  You don't need to have a business page unless you want one really, you'll always be tagged to your personal page anyway.

You can either be tagged in a picture or in a posting, the posting part you start with @ and then type the persons name you want to tag, as long as they're one of your friends, it should create a tag.

I'll have a quick look through the treasuries for you and tag ya!

Just a quick update on our page!  We now have over 1100 fans/likers on the page, with the online exhibition 'Tis Grand' accounting for much of the interactions in the last few weeks.

I wanted to flag up a couple of stats about Facebook which hopefully show why it's good to keep your hand in using our team page as well as your own presence.  There are over 400million users worldwide on there, posting 1 billion bits of information per week, similarily they reckon that over 55million tweets occur per day.  So as our page is also connected to our twitter account, hopefully we are making our little dent in that figure.

At the same event I got these figures, they also had some research done by John Lewis, which basically boiled down to the fact that what they called 'multi-channel users' i.e. customers that browsed the website, maybe ordered online and also used the high street stores were 4x as valuable, sales wise, than customers that simply visited the stores.  I think this is something to bear in mind, especially with the diminished sales of craft fairs and the like, that using the internet can really add value to our wares.

I hope that's a bit of food for thought and if anyone has any other ideas for the Facebook page then please let me know!

Apologies if I have missed it, but couldn't see info

I see that the Facebook page shows when people have put new listings, etc - do you do that manually, and do you do it to the "profile" page, or the fan page - I am a liker of fan page and friend of personal page (I think), but I am now putting " business" stuff through my fan page.... confused!!!

Fan page is http://www.facebook.com/#!/dawnturnerdesigns if you need it?

Hi Dawn,
at the start of 2011 we have opened up the Fan page to all members to promote their own new listings. Members can use the Fan page as a spring board for getting visits to their listings by manually posting a link.
