First off not sure if this is the right place mods so shift it if you want to. Smiley

My daughter Siobhan has been working on this for some time and is about ready for 'trela online' to launch.
http://trelaonline.co.uk/ thought some of you maybe interested. The first 20 members can join fr. She is going to be applying for funding to set up a sort of collective and have local premises.
This is what she wrote about it so I am going to post this here for her. She's a member of the FH forum but has only just joined and asked if I would post here about it for her.
I think it's a great idea and thought yous might like to take a look. Glass category is obviously included.  Smiley

Trela! – Bringing creative people together
Trela is an exciting new social enterprise based in West Lothian aiming to bring creative people together to create, learn, network and source supplies. We will also be working with the local community advancing the understanding of mental health issues and offering ways of using creativity to relieve stress.

On the site you will find event and workshop listings, a directory which will be filled with creative businesses and suppliers, a forum, articles, resources and competitions.

We will officially launch on the 10th of January though we are inviting people to come and join us now to help us get started.
We want to show the world that arts and crafts can be inspiring and very useful. We also want the world to see how everyday things that you do or are involved in are creative. We have group pages for make up artists, nail artists and body art in amongst the knitting, jewellery and clay.

Free listing to the first 20 people that register and would like a listing on our directory . The normal price will be £10.

We are setting up as a social enterprise so all money will be going back in to the business and community.

Come and have a wee look around, join in the discussions and let us know what you would like to see on the site.

Siobhan

Thanks Tan!

El burnzo, there is a wee post on your profile page (http://trelaonline.co.uk/profile/ElBurnzoCrafts) on Trela that gives you an idea of where you can begin. I am now working on a way of adding this post automatically when someone joins so that they have an idea where to start as there is a lot of different parts of Trela that you can get involved with. Hope you don't get too lost lol Smiley

One other thing, i'm going to find a place in the resources to add a link to Frit Happens as there is so much information here and a lot of good advice. You can also add a link to Frit Happens on your profile page.

Look forward to hearing what you all think and if you have any ideas please do let me know.

This sounds very interesting, I'm off for a nosey in a min.  The mental health side of things really interests me too.  I'd love to know more about the background to this project, hopefully the site will fill me in.  Good luck  with it all. Grin

Gail, thank you very much for your pm. I will get back to you asap on the matter.

Beadysam, I am working hard on filling everything in. The about us page is still a little sketchy so keep checking back  Roll Eyes

If anyone finds a problem or thinks anything could be done in a better way please do let me know. You are the first to try the website out and I really appreciate your time and patience this month as I get everything ready for launching in January. Hopefully by then all the wee kinks will be ironed out  Grin
