Sorry, I can't help it - I have to show these two off as well!

Picture doesn't do it justice (and the black circle at the top is where it catches the light) but this is the mid shade Aurae over clear

Love the Aurae over Mystic Pink, Claire - you inspired me to give that a try (and it worked  Wink).

Is your Aurae one of the odds direct from DH, Colette?  Its gorgeous, mysterious and gentle  Grin

Does anybody ever use Tongue Pink?  I picked up a pack at the Flame Off and its intriguing me - goes great with Aurae!

I love this glass..not sure if it has replaced Triton in my affections though.
Gorgeous bead Julie.

Here is a clear hollow from me with Aurae scrolls, it has fumed the hole bead so it all shimmers.

Here are a few from me...

I had to take the photo on my leg to get the true colour.  White background doesn't work so well.

This one is Aurea over black and incased...

This one is just encased...lost a lot of it's colour but still nice hints of purple, green and pink

Great new glass!

Some more from me.
This is clear with Aurae raked design and ends.

These two are both ivory with Aurae dots encased in clear. The focal has gone a really deep golden brown where the Aurae has reacted with the ivory/fumed it.

OK here's some of what I've been getting using Aurae encased in clear. The pics don't really show them as they are. They are much paler and less golden in colour, very much like mother of pearl, pale overall colour with a opalescent iridescent sheen similar to oil on water only paler. They are not easy to photograph but I hope I have captured some of the incredible lustre I'm trying so hard to explain!!
Apologies for repeating these images as I've put them in the 'Weekly Show & Tell' thread as well!

PS - I haven't cleaned them yet so ignore the grubby dimples! Wink

Quite pleased with this, it's a keeper for me  Grin Base of Thai Orchid swirled with Gelly's Sty, Effetre Amethyst, and a few I can't remember with Aurae on the surface. The dark blob in the middle is just a shadow.

Beautiful beads, and I think I have a new fave, it's very easy to work with, and soooooo pretty.

Here's my haul from today, this is all from a rod of prototype Aurae from Emma. Not the best pictures, will have to re-do tomorrow but anyhoo.

Effetre Clear the newer one, silver foil, ivory and Aurae

Same as above with some gravity

Same again different shape

And again bit more gravity different shape

Clear base, thin layer of Aurae, silver wire, encased

I think I'm in love  Wink

I love those lentils and the big hole sc beads, gorgeous.

I have made some aurora beads that I might add to others to make a necklace, haven't decided yet though, its these below.

A couple of others I made as well, just playing at the moment

oh and both these beads have Aurora in them, the blue focal is dotted with it and has some inside and the tube bead has just a couple of dots of it. Both look better in person.

I have decided I like this glass, its very easy to strike to a bright shiny finish but I haven't mastered more subtle colours yet, bit more practice.
