I was about to order a carlisle mini CC from the US but I've seen an ad for a bobcat at a good price.  It claims that the flame goes from a bushy to a pinponit. Is this so, do those of you who have a bobcat find the flame adjustable for large beads and then stringer work?

Definitely hot for bigger beads and a fairly nice, compact flame anyway. I'm not sure how pointy it goes - it would depend on how fine the stringer work you wanted to do was. Smiley

Thanks everyone for your input, it's great to be able to ask people who are actually using it and get such good feedback Smiley

The Bobcat sounds really good Grin

I'v just moved onto the minor from the hothead a month or so back...

I am liking the minor and found the transition really pretty easy.

I do think it could do with a little more flame control as it just dos'nt seem to give the pin point flame that your looking for.
